Where can you find scrumptious cakes and bread in the heart of Georgetown's heritage district? The Rainforest Bakery has a nice selection of artisanal cakes, sandwiches, bread and pastries. Prices range from $$ to $$$. Limited seating inside.

You can buy a coffee from the Mugshot Cafe next door. Scones @RM8.50 for 6 taste like the ones I used to buy at M&S. Cakes by the slice range from RM12 to RM25.
