Ooi Coffee House has 4 branches but the main branch is at Lebuh Carnavon. Famous for its Oh Chian (Oyster omelette RM10 small plate), and Ipoh white coffee RM3.30. Ooi Coffee House's version of the oyster omelette is served with a crispy base made of egg, rice and tapioca floor with a generous number of oysters (8 for a small plate). Eat it dipped in chili sauce.

This kopitiam is usually packed with locals and tourists, so come early. I got there at 11am and I had to wait for a table to be cleared. The Wan Tan Mee and Beef Noodle stalls also do good business. The broth of the beef noodles doesn't contain MSG. A small bowl RM12 comes with the usual trimmings of offal - beef tendon, stomach etc with four pieces of boiled beef.
