🤠’s easy Steamed Scallops
🤠's easy steamed scallops with garlic in oil and spring onions. You will need a dozen scallops on the half shell. I used frozen Indonesian scallops from Lotus supermarket RM22 per bag (a bag has 2-3 dozen half shell scallops).
Marinade: 1 T soy sauce for seafood 1 T garlic in oil 2 stalks spring onions, diced finely.
1. Defrost scallops. Clean under running water to remove bits of shell
2. Prepare wok for steaming - pour 1 liter boiling water. While wok is getting hot, mix all marinade ingredients with half of the diced spring onions. Spoon marinade onto scallops.
3. Steam for 4-5 minutes depending on the thickness of the scallops.
4. Remove steamed scallops and arrange on a serving tray. Mix water from the steaming with the rest of the diced spring onions and spoon over scallops. Serves two as an appetizer.
