Stayed 5 nights at the 3 star Victoria Garden Hotel , Lebuh Victoria, right at the heart of the Georgetown heritage district. Ideal location for travellers exploring Georgetown. The 101 Rapid KL bus stop is about 70m away. The hotel is minutes away from the clan jetties, the historic seafront piers, the touristy hub of Chulia Street, Penang Road, Little India, inner city markets, quirky cafes (see Kafka review) and much more !
Staff are friendly and accommodating. This 80 room hotel is fairly new, opened for business in 2019, I think. No pool - that's the reason for 3 stars. Otherwise it rates an extra star.
The ground floor lobby is small but nicely appointed with a breakfast bar and guestlounge. I got an upgrade from Twin Room Deluxe to a King Deluxe room overlooking the street. Book your rooms on the hotel's website and you stand a chance of a room upgrade if available.
