Cafe Sausalito @ Tai Nan Street, Sham Shui Po

Sham Shui Po is a working class enclave where tourists used to venture out to experience the authenticity of the “real ‘ Hong Kong. But it looks like even SSP is undergoing gentrification. For example, at Tai Nan Street, I had a latte at a funky 7 year old cafe called Sausalito that had raw cement and pebbledash walls, cement floors and cork stools. Just like many cafes in Penang’s heritage quarter. There are many arts and crafts stores (including Muze Pens) and at least three cafes on the same street.

My latte cost HKD 40. That’s about the same price as tony cafes in CBD, Central or Tsim Tsa Chui.
