Le Grand @ Carnavon Street
Le Grand is a upmarket dim sum restaurant, off Carnavon Street that just opened its doors in August. The ID interior decor palette is classic Chinese Restaurant: red and gold with blue feature walls.
Service is friendly and efficient. Upstairs are four private dining rooms, minimum RM350 charge per room. The private dining rooms require a prior reservation. in the ground floor is a premium seating section.
Ordering is via a Quick Code app or you can request for a old skool paper menu. This comes in a striking red or beige cardboard folder with mini brass door knockers.
I ordered a curry ramen dish with Pu'er tea for breakfast. Le Grand serves excellent tea but a pot costs about 10x the price at typical dim sum restaurants. My breakfast order of curry ramen with pork and tempura shrimp and Pu'er tea was RM63.70.
