Tong Lek 8 cafe @Macalister Road

Tong Lek is an old skool eatery, ie no air conditioning but it serves one of Penang’s best fish noodle soups. At RM16 for a bowl of Kway Teow or Bifun in soup with a generous portions of offal (liver, kidney, intestines), pork and fish balls, minced pork and pig skin served separately with 3 pieces of fried fish fillets, Tong Lek’s version of a Penang street food favourite is good value for your money. 👍. A side order of fried fish skin is RM8.The interior decor is “kopitiam”, ie nothing fancy. You come here for the food, not for the ambience. 😉
