Ice Kacang 😏 & Cucur Udang 👍@New World Park
An established food court for decades at Jalan Burmah, New World Park is one of the largest open air food courts in Penang. There is an annexe that houses several air conditioned restaurants, an amphitheatre and karaoke and retail outlets. The famous Bangkok Lane Mee Goreng has moved to NWP. You can catch a theatrical glimpse of the chef twirling a gigantic wok around as he fries the famous Bangkok Lane Mee Goreng.
The Cucur Udang (prawn fritters) stall at one corner at NWP was good value at RM4.50. The Swatow Lane Ice Kacang stall at the other end fronting Jalan Burma’s - sells shaved ice desserts with jelly, candied fruits and syrup- was a bit overpriced at RM5.
