Chu Bee @ Jalan Masjid, off Chulia Street

Just opened this week, Chu Bee (“Homestyle Cooking”) is a Taiwanese restaurant off Chulia Street at Jalan Masjid. The proprietor who is Teochew and a native Penangite spent 7 years in Taipei. Chu Bee’s menu resembles a newspaper - a nice touch. The interior decor design is DIY with original red cement floors and a colour palette that is largely white and pastels.

I was offered a free appetizer. My lunch set of braised pork rice with pork balls in soup was RM22.80 👍
