Victorian Garden Tea Room & Cafe @ Irrawaddy Road (Copy)
Victorian Garden Tea Room at Irrawaddy Road serves set lunches at affordable prices (RM19+ to RM29*) as well as High Tea at a renovated 1950s double storey terrace house. The tea room on the ground floor has about 30 tables. Upstairs is an events hall capable of hosting large birthday parties or dinners. It seems to be a popular placed for seniors.
I ordered the layered cream cake (layers of frozen real cream in filo sheets) topped with a strawberry and a black coffee. The tea room manager Albert explained the dairy cream used is natural , IE unlike the dairy “ “cream”that comes out of a can.
The tasteful interior design decor is “English tea room” : floral wall paper, white tables and chairs, terracotta floor tiles, traditional wall sconces . Even the chandeliers are in white.
