Veloo Vilas restaurant @ Penang Street
I intended to visit the Chettiars's Tiffin Cafe for Pani Puri but it was full. So I decamped to Velloo Vilas down the road instead. Velloo Vilas don't do Pani Puri. They do Dosai and Banana Leaf curry sets. Most of the customers are families looking for reasonably priced set lunches or breakfast dosai.
There is an air conditioned section with more tables and a non air con section with the payment counter and a display case of Indian sweets and desserts. I think the prices are the same though. My egg and ghee dosai and a cup of the house coffee was RM7.40.
