Kyo Hayashiya @ Hysan Place, Causeway Bay

Kyo Hayashiya is a branch of a famous Kyoto desserts cafe, serving Japanese matcha based ice cream with seasonal fruits. The cafe also sells Japanese teas in colourful tea caddies, matcha Swiss Rolls and snacks. The interior decor has lots of wood panelling, wood and paper lanterns and washi paper privacy screens.

My order of a scoop of matcha ice cream with pearls on a base of Rice Krispies was HKD 64. Free H2O and wet tissue pack. Service is friendly and efficient. The store does not accept cashless payment like the Octopus card- only credit cards and cash.
