Sri Tanjung Satay @Tanjung Tokong

Open only in the evening from about 5pm Tuesdays to Saturdays from a fixed stall by the roadside at Tanjung Tokong, this roadside stall probably sells the best satay on the island. At just RM0.80 (chicken) and RM1 (beef) per skewer, it's also one of the cheapest.

Only available for takeaway. But there is limited seating available from other roadside stalls nearby. Most customers ring ahead with orders and then pick up their orders later . Hameed doesn't need to advertise or do home delivery.

The secret of good satay?

1. Good quality chicken (no fat) and tenderised beef .😋

2. Precise temperature control when grilling the satay skewers over charcoal embers. No open flames. The result is grilled satay without burnt bits.😋

3. The accompanying peanut kuah - sauce- is just right. Not too sweet. Not too spicy. Enough chunky peanuts to create a sauce that sticks to the sticks of satay. 😋
