Cueva @ Gurney Walk $$$

I had heard a lot of good reviews of Cueva (“ cave” in Spanish) the new tapas restaurant that just opened for business at Gurney Walk last month. So I arrived to order my set lunch, a Spanish version of local Ayam Percik (charcoal grilled chicken with dry curry sauce) that came with a side of salad. Unfortunately, the Chicken Thigh was from a “small” spring chicken and the amount of mash potato was about 2 tablespoons. If you are on a diet on doctor’s orders and are trying to lose weight, you might like Cueva for its low calorie set lunches.

My bill was RM41.80. But yours truly was still hungry after my set lunch. So my next stop was the Edgecrumbe Road Pasembur stall at the state owned Gurney Food Court, down the road.

Staff at Cueva are friendly. But it took 15 minutes for my Ayam Percik to arrive. It was grilled to order I suspect. There are a total of 16 tables at Cueva, with four of them outside the restaurant facing the main road.
