Toh Soon Cafe@Bishop Street

An offshoot of the popular Toh Soon kopitiam, a “hole in the wall” old skool breakfast place famous for roti bakar (toasted bread with butter and kaya - an egg custard jam), the Toh Soon Cafe at Bishop Street is more upmarket. Besides the classics like fried rice and Nyonya dishes, Toh Soon Cafe also serves Western food.
The interior decor sports small wood tables and stools, in a nod towards the simplicity of its famous kopitiam predecessor where the outdoor seating is the same. My fried rice with a side of sambal was expertly fried and cost RM12.10. 👍
