Penang State Art Gallery

60 art works on Dusky Langurs on display until end Dec at the Penang State Art Gallery on the third floor. Note there is no elevator to the third floor!. After much huffing and puffing yours truly made it to the third floor via the staircase.

There are outstanding color pencil drawings by the late Nasir Nadzir in a photo realistic style. Also interesting are mixed media artwork drawing attention to the illegal hunting of Langurs, gentle leaf eating arboreal monkeys with long prehensile tails. Free catalogues are available. Recommended for art lovers. Note that the Langur exhibition ends 31 Dec. Closed on weekends.

The State's permanent art collection is located on the 1st floor. There is a small gift shop selling mostly catalogues.
