Carnavon Cafe @Prangin Lane

Housed in a heritage building opposite the Ichi Tong restaurant is Carnavon Cafe. The interior decor is best described as Shabby Chic with plenty of distressed furniture, exposed brickworks walls, and tiled floors artfully blackened to simulate age. Unlike Ichi Tong, the menu is just coffee and cakes but I think they also serve beers.
My order of dessert was a jelly cake RM14.90. Service was friendly and efficient. Outside the front doors, the Carnavon Cafe has a string of CNY red lanterns that make a striking sight viewed from the street.
