Fountain Pens Of The World, 1st Ed. & OMAS Mandela

A first edition (1995) of Andreas Lambrou’s Fountain Pens Of The World, a standard reference for fledgling pen collectors back in the 1990s. It cost HKD 1615 (sticker still attached) when I bought it more than 20 years ago in Hong Kong. On eBay I see old copies of the 1st edition FPOTW are selling for around USD 200, ie about the same price that I paid. I think but cannot be 100% certain Lambrou's FPOTW has been updated several times since.

The OMAS fountain pen on top of the coffee book sized FPOTW is the “Mandela 80  - The Struggle”, in Red Enamel over a silver barrel, with a special 18K two tone nib decorated with three feathers.It was issued to commemorate Nelson Mandela’s 80th birthday in a limited edition run of 1600 pens.
