🤠’s easy Tonkatsu pork
🤠's easy 5 stepJapanese Tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlet). You will need a one inch thick slice of pork loin, about 250-300g, salt and pepper to taste, corn flour, 1 egg, panko or breadcrumbs (I use homemade breadcrumbs).
1. Pat dry pork loin and slice into 2 pieces. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Coat with corn flour, shaking off excess flour.
2. Heat oil in wok.Test with chopsticks when oil is hot enough.
3. Dip pork into egg then into a freezer bag filled with Panko or breadcrumbs. Make sure pork chops are evenly coated.
4. Fry pork chops until golden brown. Leave to dry on paper towels. Slice into thin strips.
5. Serve immediately with traditional shredded cabbage and Tonkatsu sauce.
