Tanjung Tokong supermarkets#3
Lotus (formerly Tesco) has a super market at Tanjung Tokong which is the anchor tenant in a shopping centre. McDonald's, KFC, Secret Recipe, are the major F&B outlets on the ground floor. There is a small food court as well.
I wasn't allowed to take any pictures inside, so only one picture of the frozen meat display is all I have. Lotus is a no frills supermarket chain so everyone seems to shop here for staples like vegetables, noodles, spices and fruits. There is a small in-house bakery that sells probably the cheapest baguettes in town. The other standout is the fish counter. Get there before 9am for the pick of fresh fish and seafood sold at rock bottom prices. Eg a kilo of horse mackerel (cencaru in Malay) is less than RM10.
