Hungry Ghosts @ Carnavon Lane

The Chinese festival of Hungry Ghosts takes place in usually the month of August. Offerings to the Hungry Ghosts are made in roadside theatres which sometimes feature music performances called Getai.

I spotted this elaborate roadside theatre at Carnavon Lane which had an altar and votive offerings. The on-site caretaker gave me a stamped invitation card for an event on 25 August when offerings would be made between 9-12 noon.
