Blue Chang @ Pulau Tikus
Blue Chang (Elephant) is a small casual Thai restaurant located at the annexe to the Penang Club at Pulau Tikus. The restaurant specialises in Thai classics like Tom Yam, fried fish and noodles. I ordered the signature dish of crispy deep fried Siakap fish that had been butterflied and deep fried until the bones are crunchy. This was served drenched with a sweet soy and fish sauce and was very good. Less successful was the drunken seafood hor fun - too salty. The place was packed with locals. My bill was RM59.40.
