Irama @ Penang Street
My second visit to Irama, a fine dining restaurant serving Malay cuisine. The interior decor is upmarket with a crystal chandelier, lacquer paintings on the walls and a striking mural feature wall by Mandy Maung of a blue kebaya clad girl . The lamb shank kurma was described as the best in Georgetown in the menu. I can't vouch for the claim but the lamb shank was certainly one of the best kurma dishes I've had, rivalling the Suffolk House fusion version. The Nasi Ulam here is extra fragrant thanks to the addition of slivers of Bunga Kantan. My kerabu salad of Kacang Botol and squid was very good. 👍. As expected in a fine dining restaurant, service was excellent.
Post Script
I was the only person dining at Irama at lunch. Irama has a semi buffet for Ramadan at 7pm for RM69.90.
