Jason Nyonya House @ King Street
My second visit to Jason Nyonya House at King Street. This small restaurant is housed in a two storey heritage shophouse with original floor tiles. Jason’s is easy to pick out - it’s only house on the street with red walls outside and inside.
Service is friendly and efficient.
Jason has finally found a helper, an Indonesian. I hope business is picking up. Everything is cooked in the kitchen from family recipes.
Jason is happy to do takeaways and cashless payment. The restaurant has its regulars who bring tiffin carriers to take back the home style Nyonya dishes.
My set lunch of Tau Eu Bak ( stewed belly pork in soy sauce) was RM17.90 - I think it is good value for money because it includes a barley water drink, a soup of peppery pig stomach and a sweet gamdum in santan dessert. Adding a sambal eggplant takeaway for my dinner tonight and a nutmeg drink, my total bill was RM41.70.
