Chic cafe in a traditional shophouse, Temu Cafe $$$ at Lebuh Melayu might be hard to find. The signage -a round plexiglass sign- has a proximity meter, and only lights up when you get near enough.
Inside the interior decor is Cool Industrial with stainless steel panels, distressed wood and exposed brickworks. The rafters are painted white. Air-conditioning ducts are left exposed.
Service by baristas in black t shirts is efficient. Temu specialises in drip coffee $$$. Coffee beans -16g - are weighted, then ground in a Burr coffee grinder before water at 90C is carefully poured over the coffee grounds using a Swan neck pot. The result is probably the best way to make good coffee.
My order of afrogato and waffles was excellent. The expresso smelt wonderful. Well for RM18 a cup, yours truly expects nothing less. Water is free, but you have to ask. There is no service charge.
