Mucca started as a web based arts and crafts shop in Penang, offering personalized notebooks and writing accessories. The small shop at Penang Street was opened later in 2019.

My red Mucca notebook was assembled by hand after I confirmed what I wanted. I choose red for the cover. For many years now I have been a fan of the iconic Moleskin notebooks - they have an elastic band fastener. But I've noticed one major drawback - the plastic band loosens with time and use. At Mucca, if you buy a notebook using the Moleskin style elastic band, you can always order a replacement band if you need to. But this time I decided to choose a more traditional string fastener that takes more time to close and open.
Mucca offers a choice of paper covers in two different sizes and many colours, a choice of fasteners, types of bindings, a choice of bookmarks and replaceable paper inserts you can pick and choose.
Free blocking of your name or initials on the cover of your personalized notebook is included in the price. A nice touch if you are the type who wants to stick proof of ownership on everything you own.
