Kyrin Sushi $$ is a new premium Japanese restaurant located within the 4F food court of Gurney Plaza. It has separate seating for about 60 pax. Prices are somewhat cheaper than other Japanese restaurants in Penang. But Kyrin Sushi's presentation and quality of the food seems top notch.

The interior decor (a mix of traditional wood panelling and neon signage) is upmarket. Food presentation is good. Food quality and service is comparable to other Japanese restaurants in Penang. My order of two appetizers - gyoza (panfried dumplings) and ebi karaage (deep fried crispy small Shrimp eaten whole) and chawanmushi (steamed egg custard with slivers of chicken, fish cake and prawn) cost RM27. 👍
