Dim sum served beautifully in an opulent tea house is Bao Teck's Tea House $$$ speciality. The standard of presentation, food quality, service, and ambiance fully justifies the premium pricing.
I think the dim sum served at Bao Teck rivals the tea houses of Hong Kong . The Wu Kok (deep fried Yam dumplings with Char Siew) was the best I've had, even better than Maxim's HK. But the egg tarts - though Very Good- don't reach the standards of the best yum cha restaurants in HK. The Siew Mai was a tad too lean and dry for my taste.
Upstairs are the toilets, a private dining room and more tables. My three dim sum cost RM40.
