Inflation bites!

The price of satay at my favourite stall in Tanjung Tokong has shot up from RM0.80 per skewer for chicken to RM1- a whopping 25% increase. For beef satay, the new price is RM1.20, up from RM1 previously. I guess a price increase is inevitable given items like meat and cooking oil have increased. Stallholders also need to make a living. At least the ketupat (rice cakes) is still RM1 each. 😢

My takeaway order of 10 skewers of chicken satay was RM10. I noted the new guy at the grill is not as skilled as the previous guy. There were quite a bit of burnt bits in my chicken satay.
