Nian Wei China Dumplings @ corner Kimberley & Kuala Kangsar Streets

Just opened last month the Nian Wei China Dumplings restaurant at the corner of Kimberley and Kuala Kangsar Streets serves inexpensive North Chinese dumplings and noodles. Operating hours are 8 am to 230 pm. The ID decor is a mix of 1940s with old fashioned grills, red cement floors and distressed walls. The menu is on the wall. All you need to do is point and order.

My order of pork and chives dumplings was first steamed then pan fried. Traditionally the dumplings are filled with soup that burst when you bite. However the version sold here is dry. My dumplings cost RM6. A pot of rose tea was RM4.
