Arthur's Bar & Grill @ Shangri-la KL

Arthur's Grill & Bar at the Shangri-la KL, Jalan Sultan Ismail, is on the 1st floor. It serves classics like Beef Wellington (RM98 @ it's Sunday Carvery), prime rib with its famous gigantic Yorkshire pudding, steaks and burgers. It's a casual informal place to enjoy a good steak, no need for jackets.

I used to get a 1 for 1 deal at Shangri-la KL with an Amex card many years ago. Shangri-la still runs a dining card I think that gives some discounts on its F&B outlets, including Arthur's Bar & Grill.

Besides the bar area which has a large TV tuned to ESPN, there are two inner dining areas that are quieter. I was seated at the outer dining room with a view of the Twin Towers.

My 200g tenderloin steak was prepared exactly as I requested: medium rare. I think it was a sous vide steak: the steak was pink from edge to edge. My bill for the tenderloin steak with sweet potato fries and asparagus with garlic was RM115.

Service as expected in a 5* hotel was great and efficient. My steak arrived after 15 minutes. There was complimentary bread with olive oil and vinegar dip and free H2O.
