Vintage Sheaffer Snorkel Pencil
The vintage red Sheaffer Snorkel pencil with gold trim dates to the 1960s and is in working order. The pencil was part of a set with a (now lost) Snorkel fountain pen, a gift to my father from his relatives. I still have the original box and instructions manual, together with a typewritten note from the giver.
There is some brassing on the clip and end. A kind pen collector who bought many of my pens repaired the pencil for me free of charge and cleaned up the clip and central band. Just below the gold plated band, the plastic barrel has an imprint “ WA Sheaffer , Iowa, Made in USA “
