🤠's easy Steamed Chicken With Dates & Goji Berries

There's something about this easy to prepare dish that hits all the right notes- the smell, the taste - and of course it's cheap at under RM10 for the main ingredients 😜🤠

You will need:

2 pieces of chicken breast, about RM8 to RM10 in supermarkets, 12-20 Goji Berries, 5 red dates, sliced in half. Optional: black fungus, soaked in hot water for 30m, then cleaned. Tip: For better results, use a free range spring chicken (kampung chicken)

Marinade: 1 T Shaoxing wine, 1 T oyster sauce, sugar to taste, white pepper to taste, 1 T light soy sauce, corn starch in cold water as a thickener, 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Garnishing: coriander leaves, tomatoes

Step 1 Wash chicken breasts. Strip away all the skin but leave some chicken fat to flavour the broth. Slice into 2 in pieces.

Step 2. Prepare marinade in a ziplock bag. Add chicken pieces, then leave in fridge for 3-4 hours.

Step 3. Heat wok and add water. Steam chicken in a shallow dish for 20 minutes with the wok lid. Check for doneness, increase cooking time if you have more chicken.

Step 4. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves (cilantro) and spring onion and serve with rice.
