Kirana Residence is a luxury low density residential development by Amanah Scotts Properties, a JV between MIDF and the Ascott Group. As part of a multi use complex that has a serviced apartment tower block, a commercial office and retail podium, Kirana Residence comprises 66 exclusive units in a metropolitan tower block connected via a 22F sky bridge with the Ascott KL serviced apartments. The contractor was Kajima Malaysia. Kirana Residence was completed in 1999.
Architectural Features
According to Kirana Resident’s architectural consultants, GDP Architects, “the modern contemporary design of the building takes its cue from the simple and elegant mid-rise apartments of Kuala Lumpur and Singapore during the 70’s. From wafer thin concrete balconies to the slender regiment of balusters, the masses of its tall curved wedges layer space in response to the tropical context of its setting. The result is a light and louvered metropolitan tower at the verge of the crowded city and a park edge.”
